Bluebell Walk in Fairlight

Saturday 28/04/2024

On Saturday, a group of ramblers met up with the wonderful Vic and Mary for their Bluebell walk. It was a bright and sunny day with a bit of a chill in the air, so perfect for walking.

The bluebells were stunning and plentiful, frolicking ramblers jumped amongst them in a joyful manner, reminiscent of a Midsummer Night’s Dream.

At Freshwinds Farm we were lucky enough to be invited for coffee by Vic and Mary’s farmer friend. We met some beautiful creatures including the lazy, grunting pigs, basking peacefully in warm straw.

Lunch stop was at Pett Level after crossing a field of sheep carefully guarding their lambs. It was good facing towards the sea, sandwich in hand. Jon was excellent in rounding up the motley gaggle of ramblers. It was such an exciting walk. Thanks again to Vic and Mary.
